Gerhard Protschka, overall leader of the biennial Look&Roll filmfestival in Switzerland, has been invited to screen his favorites especially for the 10th Worldcongress for People who Stutter. Since 2006, Protschka and his team have been selecting many short films about handicaps of any kind. At the second edition in 2008, a Dutch film about stuttering was also selected, called ‘Crossing my lips’. This artistic documentary was very well received and has been shown on many festivals worldwide. The Look&Roll selection was also invited at the general Kurzfilmfestival (shortfilmfestival) in Switzerland in 2009. At both of these festivals, two Dutch spokesmen for ‘Crossing my lips’ were invited to speak in the movietheatre to explain about stuttering. This too was a great success and ‘Crossing my lips’ has been placed on the first ‘Best of…’ DVD for Look&Roll 2006-2010.

Gerhard Protschka has always been very enthusiastic about the film and the handicap that is stuttering, so it was a luminous idea early on to let us be introduced with these beautiful non-conventional films about different kind of handicaps. He was kind enough to accept our invitation and he found time in his busy schedule to make this happen.

There will be two screenings of around 1,5 hours each in the Europa zaal on monday June 10th.
