10th World congress for People Who Stutter - Netherlands

The congress, organized by the Dutch stuttering association Demosthenes for the International Stuttering Association ISA, will take place in Lunteren, the Netherlands, from the 10^th to the 13^th June 2013.
The aim of this congress is to create a platform for people from all over the world who stutter or are involved, professionally or personally, with stuttering. It is an opportunity to share experiences, opinions and new developments. This will be done in a large number of presentations and workshops run by people well-known and active in the stuttering community.

Each day, keynote speakers will open the morning and afternoon program in the main room, with more speakers and workshops to follow in smaller rooms. The names of the keynote speakers and all other presentators and organisers of workshops are now present on the site at the 'Program' part. Before most of the keynote-speeches, there will be time for people to use the open-mic.

There is a lot of helpful information on this website. In addition to details of the events in the week of the congress, and facilities for travelling and staying overnight, you will find suggestions about things to do while spending a few days in the Netherlands before or after the congress. The keynote speakers will introduce themselves and there are answers to frequently asked questions.

The congress opens on Monday, 10^th June. A social event is planned for the Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday, 12^th June, there will be a fantastic gala dinner in a fairytale-like location. The congress ends on Thursday afternoon, 13^th June.
On the Sunday before the congress, 9^th June, the general meeting of the ISA will take place. This meeting is open to all (board) members of the national stuttering associations. Only those who are entitled to vote by their associations have the right to vote.

The official language of the congress, used during all the proceedings, is English. Most of this website is also in English. Please contact us if anything is unclear to you.
